Here’s how the 14 ended up working with the Pit Bull Trailler Restraint, Wheel Chock and platform in the U-Haul motorcycle trailer.
With the trailer restraint and wheel chock mounted where I put them for my 08 Hayabusa, the 08 ZX-14 came forward about 1/4” less as expected. You can see the pencil line I drew for the position of the wheel chock with the Hayabusa. The 2008 ZX-14 pushes the wheel chock forward 1/4” less.
The bolts and spacers still hold the wheel chock down and the front tire holds it in position.
It doesn’t make much difference but you can mount the wheel chalk as described in the tutorial linked in the OP and move the position of the trailer restraint forward 1/4” to accommodate the shorter wheelbase of the Gen1 ZX-14.
I also changed the way I strapped the center D-rings since those straps were so short, they were difficult to tighten. Instead of placing one hook on the platform D-ring and one on the trailer D-ring, I looped the strap through the trailer D-ring and put both hooks on the platform D-ring. I also do this with the center straps in front. I didn’t need to tighten any of the straps the whole way except the handlebar straps on the Canyon Dancers which I do not want to make very tight anyway.
